I'm not so sure.
Part of my job is to speak in front of little kids. That's not such a big deal, right? Tomorrow, I will speak in front of 600+ children. OK, two workshops with 300 kids so I guess that's not a big deal.
Right.
I am dandy with interpersonal communication. And comfortable with small groups. But a mass of 300 and they are of the tiny persuasion?!

Good luck!! You will be fine children are easy...put me in a room of 300 adults...that's when I get nervous.
Hey, at least you get the little ones! I have to go talk at Leadership Hayward next week at Cal State East Bay. For 50 minutes. Eek.

Update:
I think each group ended up to be a little less than 200.
The younger kids were a little easier to engage. They were sweet and I could bribe them with stickers.
The older kids (11 and 12 year olds) were tougher. Especially the "too cool for school" kids. It doesn't help that some towered over me. And they still wanted my stickers. But I actually got backed into a corner because they were towering over than me.
I'm going to start wearing heels to these workshops.
Hahaha! We are the height of an average 10 yr old...
I used to get lost in the incoming crowd when I did childrens' theatre. Fun. Also, I was asked for hall-pass by teachers. Not so much the fun.
Just give a little pinch if they get too close!!!
