Drunk blogging .... it's been a while

I feel a little guilty writing a drunk post after writing such a sincere entry. But the drink posts are far and few between so I'm going to anyway because I am motivated. I am motivated because I like to write about things that happen in my life. Hopefully to laugh about it later and think, "Hahaha, that wasn't funny then but it's funny now."
Here's the thing - the Man went home for the weekend and let me stay in the Bay Area (he usually likes me to go with him.) Around 8:00pm, I decided that I wanted to go out. Sort of. I wanted to go out near by and do something low key. So I called my cousin Rome because he's usually up for a good time. Sure enough, he proposed we go to a restaurant/club and promised it would be low key.
He brings a few friends and we go to this lounge in Fremont. Rome and I go to the bar and I see this girl that looks familiar. For the life of me, I don't know why she looks familiar. Then I realize, "Hey, I think that's my exboyfriend's girlfriend." I tell Rome and he is willing to mosey on over to her and ask. Because I've had one drink and I'm curious. After we get our drinks, we turn around and BAM.
There is my exboyfriend.
I can't explain it. It's not like I have strong feelings for him anymore. It's more like seeing a long lost classmate. That you weren't really friend with. You aren't sure you want to say hi but it's too late because you locked eyes.
Oh SNAP.
Yes, we said hi and we talked for a little bit. In case you've never had this run in let me tell you what it's like. Here is this person you used to love. This person who knew you inside and out a long time ago. But doesn't know you from a bucket of water now. It's strange.
I ended up drinking three more rum-and-diet-cokes. Because, at that time, it felt like the best thing to do when dealing with an awkward situation. A few things to note:
1. I was wearing my wedding ring and he did admire it
2. He introduced me to his girlfriend who I must give props to because she handled meeting an exgirlfriend VERY well.
3. I drank 4 rum and diet cokes total and ended up having to vomit in the restroom (but I somehow mustered up enough grace to clean myself up)
4. Yes, I realize that I'm one foot into the 30s age group and that I should know better. But between my cousin who can drink like a fish and play tennis at 7am the next day and having only a couple of exes so when I run into them, it's kind of shock, I think I can be excused for the party foul.
5. I didn't learn from the last time I drank with Rome that he is way too dangerous for me to party with
6. Enough time has passed that we can actually be friendly and I think this was the first time I wasn't super sarcastic.
It feels like it's been a lifetime since we broke up ... it's been six years. During this time I've always been 100% sure that it was the best thing for us to do, that we needed to break up because we were NOT meant to be.
But hot damn, it's still awkward as hell when we run into each other. Thank goodness for alcohol. Even if I had to flush some of it down the toilet.

PISSED

Yes, I am. And you?
Well, I'm drinking a glass of wine to take the edge off but I am still PISSED.
This asshole cop gave me a ticket today. He and his bud were busting people who changed from a right turn lane and crossed over a solid white lane.
Yes, I committed a traffic violation. So why was he an a-hole?
Sure, he was doing his job. But there is a difference betweeen just doing your job and being freakin' HAPPY, full of glee and having a GD gleam in your eye because your ticketing someone. Someone who hasn't had a blemish on her record for over seven years if you bothered to even look it up, you ASSHOLE.
I'm going to pour another glass of wine. Or three.

Featherweight ... it's a good thing

In my early 20s, I would slam a shot and then be drunk off my ass.
In my mid 20s, I hated my job so I loved happy hours and drank like a fish on the weekends. I could down seven drinks (shots and frou frou mixes) before I felt goo-ood.
Now I'm in my late 20s. This evening, I met a friend at this trendy little restaurant and ordered one rum & diet coke and sashimi for dinner. Ten minutes later, I was three sheets to the wind and had to order roti prata to soak it up. Because, no lie, I was tanked.
When did I become a featherweight again? Ahh, just as well ... I'm damn near "college student" broke.
Aren't I a little young to be full circle? I'm a cheap date AND poor. All in less than a decade.

Before you ask, yes, I'm still a smidge drunk. Just a smidge.

A sexy drunk baker

Well, self-proclaimed but nevertheless!

FYI: Blogging drunk is a dangerous thing.

This evening I baked coconut crunch cookies aka Piggy's Crack Cookies (thanks D-Doll!) But I have to call them "coconut crunch cookies" because I work in an environment with small children. And while I would love to sell our kids and families "crack cookies," I think they might wig out.

Some background: Tomorrow, my work is having a bake sale and I decided to go back to a hobby I haven't done in years! In fact, since I lived with Ms Lips. I spent about 45 minutes at Albertson's buying ingredients and trying to find that damn baking powder (yes, "baking powder". Recipe also calls for baking soda.)

Anyhoo, The Man and I are having a tiff (I know, I know! Never write about your significant other unless you want the $hit to hit the fan so that's all I'm going to say.) I came up with a brilliant (that's right, "brilliant!") idea that while I'm baking, why not have a glass of red wine? Well, I think my first glass actually equaled two and now I'm on my second aka third or fourth. F*ck, I don't know.

Don't worry, I prepared the cookie dough before I got tossed. Plus, to put me in a better mood, I'm currently watching, "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." Dammit, Chevy Chase is f*cking funny. Word.

So anyway, back to the cookies. They are quite delicious. It has coconut and Nestle Crunch (Krunch?) candy. Albertson's only had big bars so guess what I got to do!? I used The Man's work bench in the garage, took a hammer to these sonsuvabitches, and made me some Crunch bits. Anyway, I've baked nearly a 100 cookies. And they are damn delicious. I would take a picture of them but they kinda look crappy. (D-Doll, is that just how they look or did I do something wrong?)

All right my lovely peeps. I'm going to watch my funny a$$ movie and sober up. Mele Kalikimaka, bitches. (No, you aren't a bitch. I just like to cuss when I'm drunk. Seriously. Let's hang out sometime and you'll see. I'm totally friendly and happy-go-lucky but I like me some cuss words.)
